Very scarce in this condition! Photos on request. The binding is grey paper-covered boards, quarter-bound in black at the spine with white lettering. The other three book club editions were: the Reader's Digest Book Club, the Book-of-the-Month Club and (in England) the Book Society. It has 255 pages (the trade edition has 296 pages) - the text is the same, just printed slightly smaller. It is in a somewhat smaller and lighter format (same height, just thinner) than the trade edition (and the Book-of-the-Month Club edition, which came out later). This one, though undesignated as such, is the Literary Guild edition, published in August, 1960 (the first trade edition was published a month before, in July of that year). This is the first of four book club editions of this title to have been published (shortly after publication of the first trade edition. Jacket Design - Shirley Smith (illustrator).
